Wappinger Falls, NY - Brad Witkowski went 3-4 with three RBIs and starting pitcher Adam Seibert teamed with four relievers to shutout Manhattan on four hits in a 7-0 win Wednesday night at Dutchess Stadium.

Hofstra improves to 13-19 on the season, while Manhattan falls to 9-23. With the shutout, Hofstra pitching has allowed just one run over the last 18 innings.

Seibert went five innings and allowed three hits with six strikeouts, including the side in the fourth, to improve to 2-0. Adam Heidenfelder, Kevin Weissheier, Matt Weissheier and Chris Weiss each pitched one scoreless inning for the Pride.

Witkowski had an RBI triple in a two-run first inning and then added a two-run single in a three-run seventh inning that pushed Hofstra's lead to 7-0. He also added a single in the ninth and had a sacrifice bunt in the sixth.

Steven Foster also was 3-4 for the Pride, which collected 14 hits for the second straight game. The freshman centerfielder also scored three runs. Dalton Rouleau had two hits and a sacrifice fly, while Chris Hardardt also chipped in with two hits. David Leiderman continued his hot hitting and run production with a two-run single in the sixth. The hit was his 14th in the last five games, while he has driven in 17 runs during that span as well.

Matt Forlow had Manhattan's only extra base hit, a double in the third inning. Tom Cosgrove (1-3) took the loss for the Jaspers, allowing four runs on nine hits in six innings. He also struck out seven.

Hofstra returns to action Friday when it hosts UNCW, which is ranked 25th by D1Baseball and receiving votes in the USA Today Coaches and NCBWA Polls. Game one of the three-game CAA series begins at 3 p.m.
