Oceanside, NY - The College of Charleston men's tennis team posted a 7-0 victory Wednesday evening at the Point Set Indoor Tennis Center.

Hofstra (3-2, 0-1 CAA) picked up its lone win of the match at first doubles as the team of Beau Wills and Niko Vulinovich downed the reigning CAA Doubles Team of the Week, Brice Allanic and Franz Sydow, 7-6 (3) at first doubles. Vasily Kichigin and Charlie Ghriskey earned a 6-4 win at the No. 2 doubles spot and Josh Record and Rodrigo Encinas clinched the doubles point for the Cougars with a 7-6 (1) win at the number three spot.

The Cougars ( 8-3, 1-0 CAA) clinched the match with straight set wins at the second, third, fourth and sixth seeds. Wills and Ricky Hendler each won a set at first and fifth singles, respectively, but could not prevail in their singles matches. 

Hofstra returns to action Sunday night at Point Set Indoor when it hosts Temple.
