MGOLF: Won, Shin Tied For 10th After One Round At Towson

Grasonville, MD - David Won and Brandon Shin each shot 76 (+5) and are tied for 10th place at the Whiting-Turner Towson Invitational at Prospect Bay Country Club. Hofstra is in fifth place at 314 (+30).

Playing in tough conditions, which included 35 degree temperatures and high winds, Won and Shin are just five strokes off the lead. Won recorded one of the day's two eagles as he shot a two on the par 4, 450-yard first hole (his 10th hole of the day).

David Mecca carded a 79 (+8) and is tied for 26th. Sean Cavanaugh is tied for 62nd at 83 (+12) and Jonathan Farber is tied for 109th at 90 (+19).

Nicholas Echavarria (Arkansas) and Stewart Gray (LIU Brooklyn) share the lead in the 120-player field at 71 (E). They lead by two strokes entering Sunday's final round. William and Mary holds the team lead at 300 (+16), two shots better than Arkansas.

Final round action gets underway at 9 a.m. Sunday.
