Becky Celorio recorded the second-best 6K time in school history to place 11th and lead the Hofstra Women's Cross Country team to a sixth-place finish at the 2015 Colonial Athletic Association Women's Cross Country Championship at Laurel Hill Plantation Saturday morning.
Celorio clocked a time of 21:21, just 10 seconds from Mary Sullivan's 2005 6K mark of 21:11, set at the CAA Championships at UNCW. Hofstra's sixth-place finish with 163 points is the Pride's best conference finish since finishing in a three-way tie for fifth place with 163 points at the 2005 CAA Championship at UNCW. The Tribe of William and Mary, who placed four of their five scoring runners in the top five, captured their fourth consecutive CAA title and the 11th in the past 13 years with 23 points.
