MGOLF: Pride Fifth After One Round At CCSU

Bloomfield, CT - Hofstra shot a team score of 295 (+15) and is currently in fifth place after one round at the Blue Devils Fall Invitational at the Wintonbury Hills Golf Course.

Hofstra is 12 strokes behind first round leader Boston College, which shot a 283 (+3), four strokes behind second place Laval and two strokes behind Sacred Heart and St. Francis (PA) in the 12-team field.

Sophomore David Won is tied for 10th after firing a first round 72 (+2). Won is four strokes off the lead. Senior David Mecca carded a 73 (+3) and is tied for 15th. Classmate Brandon Shin shot a 74 (+4) and is tied for 19th. Sophomore Johnson Ko is tied for 32nd at 76 (+6), while senior Jonathan Farber is tied for 53rd at 83 (+13).

Connor Greenleaf of Boston College and Pierre-Alexandre Bedard of Laval share the individual lead at 68 (-2).

The final round of the Blue Devils Invitational gets underway at 7:30 a.m. Monday. Farber tees off for the Pride at 9 a.m. followed by Ko at 9:09, Shin at 9:18, Mecca at 9:27 and Won at 9:36.
