MGOLF: Hofstra, Won Place Fifth At Binghamton

Jonathan Farber shot a 77 during Monday's final round at the Binghamton Fall Invitational
Apalachin, NY - David Won shot a final round 74 (+2) and finished fifth, while Hofstra posted a 303 as a team to also place fifth at the Binghamton Fall Invitational at The Links at Hiawatha Landing Monday afternoon.

Won finished with a two-round 143 (-1) to take fifth in the 91-player field. The Pride tallied a two-day score of 592 (+16) in the 16-team event.

Brandon Shin tied for 18th place at 148 (+4) after a final round 72 (+4). Sean Cavanaugh tied for 26th with a 150 (+6) after also shooting 76 on Monday. David Mecca shot a 78 (+6) during his final round and tied for 35th at 152 (+8). Jonathan Farber cut two strokes off his first round 79, shooting a 77 (+5) Monday and tied for 58th at 156 (+12). Johnson Ko, who golfed as an individual entrant, tied for 63rd at 157 (+13) after a final round 81 (+9).

Binghamton won the team title at 576 (E), three strokes better than Delaware. The Bearcats also boasted the individual medalist in Kyle Wambold, who shot a 141 (-3), to finish one stroke ahead of three other golfers.

The Pride conclude their fall season with the Jasper Shootout in Huntington, New York, on Monday, October 13.
