Stella Schoen each tallied a goal and an assist to lead the Hofstra Pride to their fourth consecutive victory with a 4-2 decision over the Towson Tigers in a Colonial Athletic Association contest at Johnny Unitas Stadium Friday evening.
Hofstra improves to 11-5 overall and 2-1 in the CAA while the Tigers, who dropped their eighth consecutive contest, fall to 2-13 overall and 0-4 in conference play.
Loehr, a native of Mainz, Germany, assisted on Schoen's goal at the end of the first half which put Hofstra ahead for good and lated sealed the victory with the Pride's final goal of the night. Schoen, a native of Hamburg, Germany, assisted on the Pride's third goal of the game, by senior

Marta Penas scored the first goal for Hofstra. Freshman goalie
Carys Swan made three saves for her 11th win of the season.

Despite the Pride dominating play for the first 20 minutes, Towson got on board first as junior Heather Jenney took a pass from senior Kelsey Fielder and drilled home her fourth goal of the season with 13:33 to play in the first half. Hofstra had outshot the Tigers, 6-2 at that point in the contest.
But the Pride responded five minutes later as senior midfielder
Marta Penas picked up a rebound and deposited behind freshman goalie Emilee Woodall to tie the contest at 1-1. It was Penas' first goal of the season. Hofstra took a 2-1 lead into the intermission with just 2:40 to play in the half as junior

Jonel Boileau who tipped the ball past goalie Megan Boyle, who replaced Woodall at halftime, for her 12th goal of the year.
Towson closed the gap to one at 3-2 with 20:07 to play in the second half as Jenney took advantage of the Pride turnover to score her second of the game and fifth of the year.
But the Pride gave themselves some breathing room when Loehr recorded her ninth goal of the season, off a pass from sophomore
Claudia Marin Samper, with 15:55 to play for a 4-2 advantage. Hofstra outshot the Tigers, 14-6 in the game and had an 8-2 advantage in penalty corners.
Hofstra returns to action on Sunday, October 26 when they face the defending conference champions, the Delaware Blue Hens at Rullo Stadium at 1 p.m.
