Newark, DE - Hofstra lost all six singles matches, including two in three sets, as well as the doubles point in a 7-0 loss at Delaware.
The Pride, playing its fourth match in six days, saw its three-match win streak snapped at three matches and fell to 5-7 overall and 2-2 in league play. Delaware improved to 10-4, 3-1 in the CAA.
Sarah Bowen and Louise Lopez both took their opponents to a third set before falling. Bowen won the first set against Dane Jonjic, 6-3, before dropping the next two, 4-6 and 1-6, in the first singles flight match. Lopez dropped her first set to Nataliya Naumova at fourth singles, 3-6, before posting 6-3 win in set two. In the pivotal third set, Naumova posted a 6-3 win to take the match.
Hofstra returns to action Wednesday against Hartford.
