Hempstead, NY - Hofstra won all six singles matches and both completed doubles matches in a 7-0 win over Hartford Wednesday afternoon.

Hofstra ups its record to 6-7 overall, while Hartford falls to 0-11.

The Pride gave up just three games in the five singles matches that were played. Sarah Bowen shutout Katina Zampas at first singles, 6-0, 6-0. Malissa Gilanchi also posed a 6-0, 6-0 win over Jessica Galik at third singles. Sonia Tsay posted a 6-0, 6-1 win over Colleen Beck at second singles, while Louise Lopez and Biance Derrick won by socres of 6-1 and 6-0 at fourth and fifth singles, respectively. Lopez defeated Christie Greenberg and Derrick won against Sarah Bennett. Paige Polizois won by default at sixth singles.

Bowen and Tsay posted an 8-0 win at first doubles over Beck and Bennett. Gilanchi and Derrick also won by an 8-0 score over Galik and Hannah Goldman.
