Lynbrook, NY - Hofstra took four singles matches, including a 6-0, 6-0 win by Joseph Erichsen, and won all three doubles matches in a 5-2 win over St. Francis (NY) Saturday night. Hofstra, which has won two matches in a row, improves to 3-5 on the year. The Terriers fall to 2-13.
Matthew Gemmell won his singles match over Evan Vrasljko at second singles, 6-2, 6-2, and also teamed with Ryhaan Gill to win a second doubles match, 8-3, over Vrasljko and Alex Tokarz.
Adrien Bailly also won bot his matches, posting a singles win at the flight, 6-1, 6-1, over Ricardo Garcia, and an 8-1 doubles win with Ari Richman over Tita Mba and Francesc Terns-Campius.
Erichsen posted his shutout win over Tokarz at fifth singles and teamed with Pedro Gimenez for an 8-0 third doubles win over Garcia and Martin Grunin.
Gimenez also won his singles match, at the sixth flight, over Grunin, 6-1, 7-6 (10-3).
The Pride return to action on Friday, Macrh 29 at 10 a.m. when they host NYIT at the Hofstra Outdoor Tennis Center.
