Williamsburg, VA - Jake Winn and David Mecca tied for 16th as Hofstra placed ninth as a team at the Joe Agee Invitational Tuesday afternoon at the Williamsburg Club in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Hofstra recorded a team score of 905 (+53) following rounds of 309-292-304.
Winn shot a final round 71 (E) to finish at 220 (+7) for the tournament. Mecca shot a 73 (+2) Tuesday to also finish at 220. Paul Bruckner finished tied for 43rd at 229 (+16) following a final round 78 (+7). Luke Smith rounded out the Hofstra entry with an 82 (+11) to finish at 242 (+29).
James Madison won the team title with an 851 (-1), one stroke ahead of second place Towson. Alex Hocks of William & Mary won the individual title with a 199 (-14), setting a tournament scoring record. Hicks also had an ace on the par-three fifth hole.
Hofstra is back in action next Sunday and Monday at the Binghamton Bearcat Invitational.
