Hempstead, NY – Hofstra University rising senior setter Catalina Charry is taking part in the South American Women's Volleyball Olympic Qualifying Tournament this week.
Charry, a native of Santiago de Cali, Colombia, will attempt to move forward towards a possible Olympic berth this week.
The South American Olympic Qualifying Tournament for Women is taking place starting yesterday through Sunday in Sao Carlos, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Colombia is in Group A with Uruguay and Brazil, while Group B consists of Argentina, Peru, Chile and Venezuela. The first match for Colombia is tonight at 6 p.m. (Brazilian time).
