Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra Men's Tennis team, buoyed by a win from Josh Levinson at third singles, won for the first time this spring as they defeated Hartford, 4-2, on Friday afternoon.  The women completed the sweep as they earned a 7-0 victory over the Hawks.

The win improved to 8-5 with the win, while the men upped their record to 1-13.

Levin rallied after dropping the first set and won 6-4 and 6-2 in the second and third set to clinch the victory for the Pride men.  Jason Sinkoff got the Pride on the right track in the match as he easily defeated his opponent, 6-0, 6-0, at sixth singles.

The women didn't drop a match in cruising to the shutout victory.  Hofstra dropped just a total of seven games in the sixth singles matches, including 6-0, 6-0 wins at second and sixth singles from Lauren Clifton and Brooke Sailer.

Both teams return to action on Saturday when they host conference rival George Mason at 1 p.m.
