Philadelphia, PA - The Hofstra Men's and Women's Tennis teams both dropped 6-0 decisions to Drexel on Saturday.  It was the first Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) match of the spring season for both squads.

The women's team drops to 2-3 in the spring with the loss, while the men's team falls to 0-5 with the defeat.

Neither encounter saw the doubles matches contested, and Drexel won all 12 singles matches played.

On the men's side, Johan Vila was the lone member of the Pride to take his match to a third set as he dropped a tough, 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 decision to Bryan Nguyen at fourth singles.

Zoe Taylor at first singles gave Zineb Hilali a solid match at first singles before falling by the score of 6-3, 7-5.

The men's team returns to action on Saturday, March 13 when they travel to Temple for a 5 p.m. match.  The women's squad is next in action on Thursday, March 18 when they take on Queens (NY) at 2 p.m. at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, New York.
