Hempstead, NY - Jon Rothstein of ESPN Radio will host a live broadcast in the Sondra and David S. Mack Student Center on Friday from 10-11 a.m.
Friday's show at Hofstra is part of ESPN Radio's College Tour 2010, and will feature live interviews with Tom Pecora and Speedy Claxton. The show was shortened to 10-11 a.m. due to Tiger Woods' 11 a.m. press conference, and Jon Rothstein will be filling in for Brandon Tierney at Hofstra. 1050 ESPN Radio will also serve as the game sponsor for Saturday afternoon's home contest against Rider at 4 p.m.
"In this market, we tend to focus our resources on professional sports, and overlook the colleges," Tierney said. "This 'road trip' will give our listeners a chance to hear the stories and learn more about local college hoops programs; as a former college athlete myself, I'm very happy to be involved.”
