Hempstead, N.Y. - Hofstra Women's Soccer assistant coach Lindsey Vanderspiegel has accepted the head coaching position at Georgia Southern University, it was announced this week.

Vanderspiegel served as the assistant coach at Hofstra for the last four years, which included the two winningest seasons in program history, an 18-4 record in 2007 and a 19-3 record this fall. She was also a part of both of the program's NCAA Tournament wins, a 1-0 win over Ohio State in 2007 and a 1-0 win over Connecticut this year.
