#49 BROWN ROLLS PAST HOFSTRA

Hofstra was no match for #49 ranked Brown University as the Bears cruised to a 7-0 victory over the Pride on Sunday morning at Pizzitola Center.

The Bears swept all three of the doubles matches to begin the match, with the closest match occuring at third doubles.  Phil Charm and Kris Goddard defeated Jared Coggan and Robert Sforzo of Hofstra, 8-3, in the closest doubles match.

All six of the singles matches were straight set sweeps for Brown, including Hofstra's number singles player, Nikola Djordjevic.  Djordjevic, fell 6-1, 6-3 to Nick Goldberg of Brown.  It was Djordjevic's first loss since October 19 of last year and only his second loss in his past 13 matches.  Mike Bosch had the closest match in singles for the Pride as he fell 6-2, 6-4 to Phil Charm at fourth singles. 

Hofstra returns to action on March 6 when they face Yale University and Fairfield University at the Yale University Indoor Courts.
