Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra Men's Basketball team will host Towson on Saturday night as the Pride look to end a short two-game losing skid. 

The game is being presented by Barnes and Noble. 

It will be televised in New York on SNY and will tip-off at 8 p.m. from the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex. Check your local listings for broadcast information in your area. 

The game will serve as the "Welcome Back Students" game and there will be free Hofstra Pride snapback hats for the first 750 students at the contest. In addition, there will be a free tailgate for students starting at 7 p.m. right outside the Lions' Den. 



There will also be a video feed available, but that is subject to blackout due to television restrictions. That can be found on the Pride Productions portal and on CAA.tv. 

A live audio broadcast can be heard via Pride Productions. That broadcast will also be available on WRHU (88.7 FM) with Julian Coltre, Dan Savarino and Andrew Fertitta on the call. The pregame show will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Hofstra (14-8, 5-4 CAA) has struggled as of late as the Pride has dropped four of its last five games following a season-high six game win streak. 

In the Pride's last game, Hofstra dropped a 100-79 decision to William & Mary on Wednesday evening. Sophomore guard Brian Bernardi led Hofstra with 23 points, including five three-pointers. Junior forward Ameen Tanksley added 20 points and 10 rebounds for his third double-double of the season, while junior guard Juan'ya Green chipped in with 14 points, four assists and three rebounds. 

Tanksley continues to lead Hofstra in scoring at 17.9 points per outing, while Green (17.1), Bernardi (12.7) and graduate guard Dion Nesmith (10.0) also average in double figures for the high-scoring Pride. 

Following another strong rebounding game, Tanksley is now averaging a robust 6.2 per game to rank second behind freshman forward Rokas Gustys (6.9) in that category. 

The Pride's top two playmakers, Green and Nesmith, have 140 and 55 assists respectively. 

Heading into their game tonight at home against Charleston, Towson has a 9-12 overall record and a conference mark of 2-6. A pair of players score in double digits for the Tigers as John Davis leads the way with 12.4 points per contest, while Four McGlynn is second with 11.2 points per outing. 

Davis also averages a team-high 8.4 rebounds, while Bryon Hawkins has 31 assists to lead the way. 

Hofstra is 36-23 all-time against Towson in a series that started during the 1982-83 campaign. The Tigers have won the last four meetings but prior to that Hofstra had won six straight in the series dating back to 2008-09. Hofstra won the first-ever meeting, 86-71, during the 1982-83 season.

Following the game against Towson, Hofstra will head to Delaware on Wednesday to take on the Blue Hens at 7 p.m.
