Steven Klosterman, one of the most decorated players in the history of UCLA Volleyball, is in his fifth season as an assistant coach at Hofstra in 2024. he was promoted to assistant coach in June, 2024.
Klosterman has extensive club volleyball coaching experience, most recently serving as a lead technical coach and trainer for the Chicago Bounce Volleyball Club. Since 2013, he has also worked with the Huntington Beach Volleyball Club as both a head coach and assistant coach. While at HBC he coached Josh Tuiniga and TJ DeFalco, both of whom recently captured AVCA Player of the Year honors and earned national titles at Long Beach State.
This will not be Klosterman’s first collegiate coaching experience either as he previously worked as a volunteer assistant coach with the Loyola Chicago women’s team and UCLA men’s team.
Klosterman was a two-time All-American at UCLA during a career which spanned from 2003 to 2007. The MVP of the 2006 National Championship that UCLA captured, Klosterman holds the program’s rally scoring-era record for kills with 1,513.
Klosterman played professionally from 2007 to 2014 in Puerto Rico, France, Finland, Egypt, Qatar, Vietnam and Czech Republic.
