Mike Jagacki joined the Hofstra women's basketball coaching staff in 2019. He is now in his third season overall and first as assistant coach.
Prior to his role as Assistant Coach, Jagacki served as Video Coordinator for the Hofstra women's basketball during the 2019-20 and 2002-21 seasons.
As Assistant Coach, Jagacki takes on opponent scouting and recruiting responsibilities, will oversee the Pride's defensive strategies, and will work with perimeter players. As Video Coordinator, Jagacki was responsible for planning, editing, producing and compiling all video packaging utilized for scouting, recruiting, practices, game preparation and promotional videos.
Before Hofstra, Jagacki spent time at Combine Academy in Lincolnton, North Carolina, where he was the men’s Associate Head Coach for one season. He helped lead the program to 48 overall wins, Jagacki comes to Hofstra following a stint including several nationally ranked programs. Prior to Combine Academy, Jagacki spent time as the Varsity Assistant coach and JV Boys Basketball Coach at Middlesex High School in Middlesex, New Jersey for four seasons. In addition, Jagacki has experience as the owner of TrueHoops AAU Basketball and has worked several basketball camps around the East Coast.
Jagacki is the creator of Lockdown Defense which can be found on YouTube. His channel, Coach Mike, has over 17,000 subscribers combining for nearly 2.5 million views.
Jagacki graduated Cum Laude from Rutgers University in 2016 with dual bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Journalism.
