During that time, Shante Evans earned her third consecutive CAA First-Team selection and was named All-Met First Team for the third straight season after setting Hofstra career records for points and rebounds and the league record for total rebounds.
Khan’s guidance has also helped his student-athletes succeed off the court, with Anma Onyeuku being named to the All-CAA Academic squad in 2014 and Olivia Askin and Aleana Leon earning the honors in 2017. In addition, Sydni Epps was selected as the CAA’s National SAAC representative in 2016.

Khan returned to Hofstra with nearly a decade of experience coaching collegiate women's basketball, including five seasons at UNC Asheville in Asheville, North Carolina. During his time with the Bulldogs, Khan was part of a staff that took over a team that won one game in 2001-02 and by his second season the team won 19 games, and would go on to win 18, 15 and 21 in subsequent seasons. In his final four seasons there, the program averaged more than 18 wins a season and in 2006-07 captured its first-ever Big South title and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
Prior to his stint at UNC Asheville, Khan spent one season each at Shepherd University (Shepherdstown, West Virginia) and West Virginia Wesleyan College (Buckhannon, West Virginia). During his one season at Shepherd the Rams won 19 games and at West Virginia Wesleyan, the team advanced to the conference quarterfinals and won 10 conference contests.
