Bria Jackson

Bria Jackson is entering her second season as a Graduate Assistant for the Hofstra women's basketball team ahead of the 2020-21 season.

Jackson comes to Hofstra by way of Queens College where she served as an Assistant Coach for three total seasons. At Queens, Jackson was responsible for player development and on-court instruction while assisting with video breakdown, scouting reports, compliance, travel logistics, academic monitoring, and fundraising.
 
Jackson also spent time with the City University of New York Athletic Conference as a Championship and Special Events assistant where she helped manage Championship events, ticketing, social media, and other day-to-day operations. Jackson also works as a Youth Mentor with Big Apple Basketball which supports young people in their athletic, educational, professional and life skill development.
 
Jackson earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology at Queens College in 2013. She was a women’s basketball standout for the Knights and was named an Honorable Mention All-American in addition to Daktronics All-Region First Team, Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association First Team, and East Coast Conference First Team honors . She led the ECC in scoring and assists in 2013 (20.0 ppg and 4.5 apg) and currently holds the Queens College and ECC single-game scoring record when she scored 49 points against Bowie State (12/29/12).
