Alexandra Feliz joins the Hofstra University Department of Sports Medicine as an assistant athletic trainer beginning in September 2023.
 
Feliz comes to Hofstra following a stint as an industrial athletic trainer with Moore Wellness Systems from March-July of 2023. With Moore Wellness Systems, she was responsible for providing ergonomic assessments and support, providing proactive injury prevention, injury care, and assessment, coordinating and implementing rehabilitation treatment programs, and more.
 
In addition to her experience in the private sector, Feliz has experience as a collegiate athletic trainer. Her most recent position in college athletics was an assistant athletic trainer at Saginaw Valley State University from November 2021 through January 2023. With Saginaw Valley State, Feliz worked primarily with the men’s and women’s basketball teams, as well as their men’s and women’s cross country teams.
 
Prior to Saginaw Valley State, Feliz was the assistant athletic trainer at Mercy College from September 2019 until November 2021, and she worked primarily with the baseball, field hockey, and women’s basketball programs. She was also an athletic trainer-intern at Alabama State University, and she worked with the women’s soccer program in 2018 and the softball program in 2019.
 
Feliz is a 2018 graduate of Hofstra University. She is certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification, and she is a licensed athletic trainer in New York and Michigan.
