Stephanie David, MS, ATC, LAT, joined the Hofstra Athletics Department as an assistant athletic trainer in August 2015. She is responsible for the care, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries for Pride student-athletes in volleyball and baseball.
David comes to Hofstra from Northeastern University where she served as assistant athletic trainer from August 2012 through March 2015. Her primary sports during her tenure at Northeastern included women’s volleyball, women’s soccer, women’s swimming and diving and women’s ice hockey. David also served as the coordinator of the Northeastern Sports Medicine Undergraduate Internship program.
A 2011 graduate of Quinnipiac University with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training/sports medicine, David also earned a master’s degree in applied nutrition with a concentration in sports and fitness from Northeastern in 2014.
After graduation from Quinnipiac, David worked as an assistant athletic trainer at the College of the Holy Cross during the 2011-12 academic year. She worked primarily with the women's soccer, women's ice hockey and softball programs at Holy Cross.
She has also been very active in the sports camp and clinic circuit as well as other special events around the Boston area.
David holds CPR and AED certification from the American Heart Association and is a member of the National Athletic Training Association (NATA), the Eastern Athletic Training Association (EATA) and the Rhode Island Athletic Trainers Association. She holds a New York State Athletic Training license and a Massachusetts Board of Allied Health Professionals Athletic Training license.
