Shane Doyle joins the Hofstra men’s basketball staff as the Coordinator of Video and Player Development beginning in July 2024.

He enters his second season on the Pride’s staff.

Prior to joining the Pride, Doyle was an assistant men’s basketball coach at Post University in Waterbury, Connecticut for the 2023-24 season. With Doyle on the bench, the Eagles qualified for the NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Tournament on the back of a 21-win season and advancing to the semifinals of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. He was responsible for on-court coaching during games and practices, as well as generating and implementing opponent scouting reports, and recruiting potential student-athletes.

Preceding his time at Post, Doyle was an assistant coach from August 2021 through April 2023 at Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, Iowa. In his two seasons, Doyle implemented individual skill development plans, opponent scouting reports, and was responsible for recruiting and coaching. While he was earning his master’s degree from Wagner College from 2018 through 2021, Doyle was the director of men’s basketball operations, where he handled all day-to-day operations for the Seahawks, including travel arrangements and video coordination. Doyle also had stops as an assistant coach at Putnam Science Academy in 2016-18, and Bridgewater State University in 2014-16.

Doyle received his bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Quinnipiac University in 2014, where he was also a team manager on the men’s basketball team.
