Lee Gerstman

Lee Gerstman is in his second year as the coordinator of video and player development for men's and women's basketball at Hofstra University.

A graduate assistant with the Hofstra men's basketball program since 2023, Gerstman has played a key role in scouting, video analysis, and player development. His responsibilities have included creating advanced scouting reports, breaking down game film, and assisting with recruiting efforts.

During the 2025-26 season, Gerstman helped Hofstra author one of the finest campaigns in program history. The Pride captured the Coastal Athletic Association Championship and earned the program's first NCAA Tournament berth since 2001 after posting 24 victories. Hofstra's success extended beyond team accomplishments, as the Pride produced three All-CAA selections, including the conference's Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year. Hofstra became the first institution in CAA history to claim both major awards in the same season, capping a memorable year that returned the Pride to the national stage.

Prior to arriving at Hofstra, Gerstman served as head student manager for Syracuse men's basketball, overseeing a team of 30 managers and working closely with the coaching staff on scouting and skill development.

He has also worked with NBA assistant coach Rico Hines and trainer Chris Brickley, assisting with workouts for elite players, including Stephen Curry, Paul George, and Trae Young.

A native of Roslyn, New York, Gerstman earned a bachelor's degree in sport management from Syracuse University in 2023 and is completing a master's degree in physical education at Hofstra.
