Kevin Coyle joined Hofstra University in 2025 as Special Assistant to Men’s and Women’s Basketball, bringing extensive Division I and Division II coaching, video, and player development experience.

During the 2025-26 season, Coyle helped Hofstra author one of the finest campaigns in program history. The Pride captured the Coastal Athletic Association Championship and earned the program's first NCAA Tournament berth since 2001 after posting 24 victories. Hofstra's success extended beyond team accomplishments, as the Pride produced three All-CAA selections, including the conference's Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year. Hofstra became the first institution in CAA history to claim both major awards in the same season, capping a memorable year that returned the Pride to the national stage.

Coyle most recently served as an assistant coach at Adelphi University, helping lead the Panthers to a 26-8 record, an an NE10 regular-season title, and a top-20 national ranking. Prior to Adelphi, he was part of the coaching staffs at Seton Hall University, where he contributed to the Pirates' 2024 NIT Championship, and Saint Peter's University, where he helped the Peacocks make their historic run to the NCAA Elite Eight in 2022. He has also coached at John Jay College, worked internationally in Spain, and been involved with top AAU and EYBL programs.

A native of Rockville Centre, New York, Coyle has played and coached at multiple levels, developing a reputation for strong scouting, analytics, and player development skills. He is proficient in Sportscode, Synergy, and other advanced video platforms and has worked with numerous all-conference and award-winning student-athletes throughout his career.

Coyle earned an associate degree in liberal arts from Lake Land College in 2015 and graduated from SUNY New Paltz in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in communication and a minor in business administration.
