Shannon Quinton

Shannon Quinton  joined the Hofstra staff as an assistant athletic trainer in August 2025, and she will work primarily with the Hofstra Field Hockey and Hofstra Softball programs. Quinton joins the Pride in a full-time position after working as an athletic training student from 2023 until she graduated from Hofstra with her master’s degree in athletic training in 2025.

Quinton worked primarily with the women’s soccer and men’s lacrosse programs at Hofstra, assisting with injury prevention, evaluations, and rehabilitation plans. Additionally, Quinton worked the 2025 NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse Quarterfinals, also host by Hofstra. She also did clinical work with the athletic departments at Nassau Community College and Kellenberg Memorial High School.
 
Simultaneously, Quinton worked professionally as an emergency medical technician for Excel Sports Performance Academy in Kings Park, New York. She helped provide emergency medical coverage for youth and adolescent athletic events, indlucing camps, clinics, and tournaments, and
 
A native of Freeport, New York, Quinton earned her bachelor's degree in human biology and public health from the University at Albany in May 2023. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.
