Dominick Saldutti

Dominick Saldutti joined the Hofstra strength and conditioning staff in August 2022 after serving the past seven months as the head strength and conditioning coach at Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York. Saldutti is responsible for all aspects of strength and conditioning for the women’s basketball, baseball, volleyball, and women’s golf teams.

During his tenure with the Sharks, Saldutti supervised all aspects of the strength and conditioning programs for the men’s basketball, women’s volleyball, men’s volleyball, women’s water polo, bowling, and fencing teams. He also served as an adjunct professor in the LIU Exercise and Wellness Department.  

Prior to his time at LIU, Saldutti was an assistant strength and conditioning coach at St. Francis Brooklyn from October 2020 to January 2022. He worked with seven teams during his time with the Terriers.

Saldutti spent two years (May 2018-May 2020) as a graduate assistant sports performance coach at St. John’s University, where he earned his master’s degree in sports management. He was also an assistant at Iona College during the 2017-18 academic year. Saldutti also has strength and conditioning internship experience at Stony Brook, St. John’s, and Iona. 

A 2017 graduate of SUNY Brockport with a degree in exercise science, Saldutti was a member of the rugby and club lacrosse teams from 2014 to 2016. 

Saldutti, a native of Inwood, New York, is strength and conditioning coach certified through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association, a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association. Saldutti is a CSCCa approved mentor. He is also a USA Weightlifting level 1 coach and a precision nutrition level 1 coach.
