Class at the Court with Hofstra Men's Basketball
We are very proud to announce that Hofstra men’s basketball will once again host an educational field trip day and we
would love your school to be a part of it! Class at the Court will be a fun day of educational activities centered on health,
wellness, and fitness, perfect for elementary and middle school students from grades 1-8.
Throughout the morning, students will be informed on a variety of fun and exciting health and fitness-related topics. This
fun and interactive day will then be capped off with a Hofstra men’s game!
Event Details
Who: To all Long Island and New York City elementary and middle schools (grades 1- 8)
What: Hofstra Men’s Basketball Health and Fitness Education Day - Class at the Court
When: Friday, December 6, 2024 – from 9:30 a.m. until approximately 2 p.m.
Where: David S. Mack Sports & Exhibition Complex (245 Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY 11549)
Cost: $5 per person
Timeline of the event
9 a.m. – Schools arrive at the Mack Sports Complex
9:30 a.m. – Health and Fitness Education Day begins
10:30 a.m. – Presentations end, students eat lunch, warm-ups begin
11:30 a.m. – Tipoff!
Hofstra Men’s Basketball vs. St. Joseph’s University
1:30 p.m. – Game is over, schools depart
(Please be aware that schools can depart the game any time after halftime)
Additional Info:
• Students can bring their own brown bag lunches to the game to eat in the stands. Concessions will be open.
• Students should bring some form of writing instrument.
Schools must sign up for the event by Friday, November 29, 2024. Because space is limited, we are taking schools on a
first-come, first-served basis.
