Postseason Play
Hofstra in the NCAA Tournament
The Hofstra Basketball program has received nine invitations to the NCAA Basketball Championships. Four came while Hofstra played on the Division II level in the 1960s, while the last five have come at the Division I level. Two of the Division I appearances came during the 1970s as a member of the East Coast Conference. In all, the Pride has played 13 NCAA Tournament games in their history and has posted a 5-8 record.

Hofstra in the National Invitation Tournament
Hofstra has received seven invitations to the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). The 1998-99 squad was selected after a 22-9 season, the 2004-05 squad earned a bid after a 21-8 campaign, while the 2005-06 team was chosen after a 24-6 campaign. The 2005-06 squad reached the quarterfinals after picking up two NIT victories over Nebraska and Saint Joseph’s. The Pride most recently appeared in the NIT in 2022-23 after capturing the regular season Colonial Athletic Association title. The Pride would go on to defeat Rutgers in the first round for the program's first postseason win since 2006.
