Hofstra Recognized For Academic Excellence

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University volleyball team has earned an American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award, it was announced today by the organization. The Pride was one of 1,432 collegiate and high school volleyball programs to maintain a yearlong grade point average of 3.3 or greater on a 4.0 scale. In addition, the Pride also earned a spot on the AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll for ranking in the top 20% of GPAs nationally in Division I.

Hofstra, which won the AVCA Team Academic Award for the 14th time in program history, compiled an outstanding 3.70 GPA during the 2025-26 academic year.

The Pride saw nine student-athletes named to the Dean's List and three named to the Provost's List in Fall 2025, and then had five Dean's List and four Provost's List student-athletes in Spring 2026. In addition, three members of the team - Beatriz Braga, Lauren Konzen, and Constanza Perez Sain - were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
