Natalie Tallies Fourth Hat Trick, Parkes Adds Two In Setback To #13 Yale

Hempstead, NY - Trevor Natalie tallied his fourth hat trick of the season and Trey Parkes added a pair of goals for the Pride in a 16-9 loss for the Hofstra men's lacrosse team to #13 Yale on Tuesday evening.

Shea Kennedy made 15 saves in net for the Pride.

Hofstra dropped to 3-9 with the loss, while Yale improved to 7-4.

Natalie gave the Pride its first goal of the contest at the 9:58 mark of the first quarter after Yale tallied the first two goals of the contest. A 4-0 Yale run late in the first quarter provided the visitors with a lead they would not relinquish.

The second quarter began with a trio of Pride goals, though, as a tally from John Hicks closed the gap to 8-5. Those three goals were the only ones scored during the second stanza.

The teams alternated goals in the opening minutes of the third quarter before Yale scored five straight to take a commanding lead. Parkes would score twice in the final 12 minutes for his two tallies.

Blake Cooling had four ground balls and three caused turnovers for the Pride, which also got four ground balls and two caused turnovers from Austin Clarke. Will Delaney tied for game-high honors with three caused turnovers.

Sean Grogan had four points on three goals and one assist for Yale, which also got three goals from Cole Cashion. Ben Friedman made 14 saves in net for the Bulldogs.
