Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra women's basketball team opens its time in our nation's capital on Thursday with a second round match-up at the 2026 Credit Union 1 CAA Women's Basketball Championship against Towson.
The Pride and Tigers will meet at 6 p.m. from inside CareFirst Arena in Washington, D.C.
Should the Pride advance past Towson, they will face Campbell in the quarterfinals on Friday at 6 p.m.
The entire five-day tournament is being played at CareFirst Arena in Washington, D.C. beginning on Wednesday. The first round, second round, quarterfinals, and semifinals will air on FloCollege, and the championship game will air on CBS Sports Network.
The Pride earned the 10-seed in the 13-team tournament with an 8-21 overall mark and a 6-12 CAA record. Seven-seed Towson finished the regular season with a 17-13 overall record and a CAA mark of 10-8.
Thursday will be the 83rd all-time meeting between the Pride and the Tigers, with Towson holding a 38-44 lead in the series. Towson won both contests this season against Hofstra by a combined four points.
