Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University wrestling team competes in a pair of EIWA matches over the next three days, starting with a road match at Army West Point Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. The Pride then returns home for the first time since early December to take on LIU at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex. Match time is set for 7 p.m. Tickets for the LIU match are available at HofstraTickets.com or at the Hofstra Athletics Box Office in the Mack Sports Complex.

The Army match will stream on FloWrestling, while the LIU match will be available over the air on MSG Network in addition to streaming on FloWrestling and the Hofstra Pride YouTube Channel.

Hofstra is 2-11 on the season overall and 2-4 in conference matches. The Pride dropped a pair of matches last weekend at Franklin & Marshall and Drexel.

Army West Point enters the dual at 2-5 overall and 2-1 in EIWA action. The Black Knights are coming off a 29-11 loss to No. 16 Lehigh last Sunday. Hofstra is 9-7-1 against Army dating back to the 1980-81 season.

LIU, which wrestles at Army West Point Saturday night as well, is 1-13 overall and 0-4 in the EIWA. The Sharks have lost six matches in a row, including a 29-9 loss at Kent State in their last outing on Jan. 31. Hofstra is 10-0 all-time against the Sharks and won a dramatic dual last season on the road, 19-16. Chase Liardi and Justin Hoyle won the final two bouts of the evening to rally the Pride to victory. Liardi scored a dominant 15-1 major decision over Sawyer Ostroff at 133 pounds to tie the score at 16. Hoyle secured the win as he rallied to defeat Devin Matthews at 141 pounds, 11-6. Hoyle scored the final seven points to score the decision.

Following the LIU match, Hofstra will remain at home for a pair of matches at the Mack Physical Education Center against Harvard and Brown on Sunday, Feb. 15. The Pride will take on the Crimson at 1 p.m. and the Bears at 6 p.m. with Senior Day ceremonies taking place prior to the second match.
