Hofstra Heads To Pennsylvania Sunday For A Pair Of EIWA Duals

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University wrestling team is back in action Sunday for the first time since January 9 as the Pride travel to Pennsylvania for a pair of EIWA matches. Hofstra will face Franklin and Marshall at 1 p.m. in Lancaster before taking on Drexel in Philadelphia at 6 p.m.

The match against Franklin and Marshall will stream live on the Centennial Digital Network, while the Drexel match will air on FloWrestling. Live scoring for both matches will be available on TrackWrestling. 

The Diplomats are 4-2 on the season and 2-1 in the EIWA. Franklin and Marshall wrestles at Drexel Saturday night and are coming off a 21-16 win over Sacred Heart on January 24.

Drexel is 10-2 on the season with a 2-0 mark in the EIWA. The Dragons are ranked No. 8 in the NWCA Mid-Major Poll released last week. Drexel's last match was a 24-12 win at Binghamton on January 16.

Hofstra is 2-9 overall and 2-2 in conference matches, but has not wrestled a dual match since January 4. The Pride's last competition was the Lehman Open at Franklin & Marshall on January 9. Hofstra's scheduled match at Buffalo on January 25 was canceled due to weather. 

This will be the 19th meeting between Hofstra and Franklin and Marshall with the Pride owning a 13-5 record with nine consecutive victories. The Pride is 19-22 all-time against Drexel.

Following Sunday's duals, Hofstra will be back in action Saturday, February 7 with an EIWA dual at Army West Point (6 p.m.) before returning home for the first time since November on Monday, February 9 against LIU (7 p.m.). The LIU match will air on MSG Network.
