Hofstra returns to the court after a historic 2025-26 season that saw the Pride capture the CAA Championship and earn a berth in the NCAA Tournament. Hofstra finished the season with a 24-11 record and defeated Monmouth in the CAA Championship Game before facing Alabama in the NCAA Tournament.
St. Joseph's went 12-14 last year and advanced to the Skyline Conference Tournament Quarterfinals before falling to Farmingdale State.
Monday will be the fourth all-time meeting between Hofstra and St. Joseph's (Long Island). The Pride leads the all-time series, 3-0. The series began during the 1987-88 campaign and the two most recent meetings were in 2023-24 and 2024-25. Hofstra won the last meeting, 114-46, on December 6, 2024.
