The Pride dropped a thrilling 58-55 contest on a last-second three-pointer to Towson on Friday to drop to 3-15 overall and 1-6 in the CAA. Alarice Gooden scored a season-high 17 points against the Tigers on Friday, and Sandra Magolico recorded 15 points and 12 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the season and third against conference competition.

The reigning CAA champions and picked sixth in the CAA women's basketball preseason poll, William & Mary defeated Northeastern 63-50 to improve to 9-8 overall and 2-4 in league play. Preseason All-CAA Second Team honoree Cassidy Geddes leads the Tribe in scoring with 13.5 points per game, followed by Natalie Fox with 11.9 points per game. Fox also leads the team in rebounding with an average of 6.5 per contest.

The Pride lead the all-time series at 32-22-1. The teams split the two meetings last season; Hofstra won 54-34 on March 2 in Virginia before the Tribe won 76-65 in the first round of the 2025 CAA Championship in Washington, D.C.
