Hofstra Visits Towson in Friday Morning Clash

Hempstead, NY – Fresh off a pair of Coastal Athletic Association home contests, the Hofstra women's basketball team will hit the road and head to Maryland to face Towson for the second time in as many weeks on Friday, January 23.
 
Tip-off against the Tigers is scheduled for 11 a.m. from SECU Arena. The game will be streamed on FloCollege, while WRHU will provide an audio-only broadcast on 88.7FM, and live statistics will be available as well. The Pride dropped a back-and-forth 62-60 contest against Northeastern this past Sunday to slip to 3-14 overall and 1-5 in the CAA. Chloe Sterling scored a season-high 20 points against the Huskies, followed by 14 points by Alarice Gooden and 11 points by Micaela Carter. Sandra Magolico pulled down 12 rebounds on Sunday for her fifth CAA game with 10 or more rebounds.
 
Towson dropped to 10-7 overall and 3-2 in the CAA with losses to Monmouth and Stony Brook this past week. India Johnston leads the Tigers with 13.6 points per game, followed closely by Zoli Khalil's 10.9 points per contest.
 
Towson won the previous meeting on January 9, 47-46, from inside the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex, with Nevaeh Brown leading Hofstra with 17 points and India Johnston leading Towson with 13 points. Towson leads the all-time series with a 43-38 record.
