Hofstra Notches Program Record Seventh Consecutive Draw At Towson

Towson, MD - Alexia Des Croisselles scored in the fourth minute for Hofstra, but Towson tied the game early in the second half as the Pride and Tigers battled to a 1-1 draw Sunday in a CAA game at Tiger Field. The draw extended Hofstra's program-record to seven consecutive ties and set a new single season mark with seven.

Hofstra moved to 3-1-7 on the season overall and 0-0-3 in league play. Towson is 3-2-5 overall and 1-0-2 in the CAA.

The Pride forced the action from the start and drew an early corner kick. Manon Lebargy drove the kick into the box, where Des Croisselles headed it past Towson keeper Teagan Gardner for the goal at the 3:10 mark. The Tigers put pressure on the Pride with seven shots in the half, but Lilly Bailey was up to the task and stopped the three on goal.

Towson would get the equalizer 15 minutes into the second half as Emma Levin knocked in a cross from Kale'a Perry. That was the only shot on goal in the half for the Tigers, while Hofstra had two chances to take the lead that were turned away by Gardner.

Hofstra returns to action Thursday night when it hosts Northeastern at 7 p.m.
