Hempstead, NY - Following a pair of goals over the Pride's opening two games, graduate defender Olivia Pearse has been named the CAA Offensive Player of the Week. It is Pearse's second career CAA Offensive Player of the Week accolade following a week one win during the 2023 season. 

The Seaford, New York, native scored Hofstra's first goal of the season against Saint Joseph's Thursday night. The tally tied the game at one as the Pride went on to a 2-1 victory. Pearse then scored the opening goal via penalty kick in Hofstra's 3-0 win over Quinnipiac Sunday.

Pearse is currently tied for the league lead in goals (2), game-winning goals (1), and points (4). She also shares the CAA lead in shots on goal with 4. 

Hofstra will look for a 3-0 start to the season Friday when it travels to Columbia for a 2 p.m. game against the Lions.
