Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra women's tennis team fell to Coastal Athletic Association foe UNCW, 6-1, on Friday afternoon from the Hofstra University Tennis Courts in Hempstead, New York. The Seahawks advanced to 6-6 on the season and 4-2 in conference play, while the Pride dropped to 2-12 and 0-2 in CAA play. 

Amanda Kadiri and Deniz Soyer opened the match to defeat UNCW's Eda Arli and Elif Albayrak 7-5 at the No. 1 doubles slot. The Seahawks bounced back with doubles wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots to win the point. In singles play, Hofstra's Lea Forste-Dinell bested Stela Joksimovic 7-6, 7-5 (4) in a thrilling match at the No. 2 singles spot.
