Port Washington, NY - Despite earning the doubles point with wins in the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles spots, the Pride fell 4-3 to conference opponent Towson on Saturday night in the Port Washington Tennis Academy. The Tigers improve to 4-9 on the season with the win and 2-4 in CAA play, while Hofstra drops to 2-13 and 0-3.
Kaitlyn Ferguson and
Lea Forste-Dinell led 7-6 and defeated Towson following a 8-6 tiebreaker in the No. 2 doubles slot. Hofstra's 6-4 victory from
Abigail Higgins and
Sabira Mohamed at the No. 3 spot earned the Pride the doubles point. Hofstra started out singles play strong with wins from
Sabira Mohamed and
Lea Forste-Dinell at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, but ultimately fell to the Tigers.
