Hempstead, NY - Maxim Michaels of the Hofstra men's tennis team was named the Coastal Athletic Association Player of the Week for his performance this week in the Pride's victories over Drexel and Morgan State. 

Michaels went 2-0 in singles in Hofstra's victories over Drexel (4-3) and Morgan State (6-1). At No. 2 singles, Michaels defeated Drexel's Hussein El Tawil, 6-2, 7-5, to put Hofstra ahead 3-1 in the match. Michaels and partner Noa Forste-Dinell picked up a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles against Drexel. On Saturday against Morgan State, Michaels bested Makkijha Brown, 6-1, 6-4.
