Gavin Clarke and
Jacob Vazquez both shot an 80 (+8) to lead Hofstra on the first day of the 2025 Coastal Athletic Association Championship at Union League National Golf Club Sunday afternoon. As a team, the Pride are in 11th place following the first of the three rounds.
Clarke and Vazquez are tied for 38th-place in the 55-player field heading into the second round.
Joseph Giamanco is tied for 44th-place at 81 (+9).
Eugene Kang is tied for 49th at 82 (+10), while
Charlie Ferrise is 55th at 86 (+14).
Hofstra shot a first round 323 (+35) as a team in the eleven-team field. Delaware leads Campbell with a better throwaway score, while the two teams are at 292 (+4). Charleston is one stroke behind at 293 (+5) in third followed by Elon in fourth at 295 (+7) and UNCW and Drexel tied for 5th-place at 301 (+13).
Campbell's Henric Bjelke is the first round individual leader at 65 (-7). Delaware's Casper Nerpin is in second at 68 (-4).
The second round of the CAA Championship gets underway Monday at 8:30 a.m.
