Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra women's tennis team fell to LIU, 4-2, from the Tennis Courts on the campus of Hofstra University on Sunday afternoon. With the loss, the Pride fall to 2-11, while LIU improves to 4-13.

Deniz Soyer bested their LIU opponents at No. 1, the Sharks won at the No. 2 and No. 3 slots to clinch the doubles point. Hofstra's
Kaitlyn Ferguson started off singles play with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Fernanda Mueller in the No. 6 slot, but the Sharks kept battling back to secure the victory. The No. 2 singles match was left unfinished, while at No. 4 singles.
