2/7/2025 6:21:00 AM

Hempstead, NY - The Pride men's basketball team will host Stony Brook on Saturday as part of Hofstra Winter Homecoming Week. The game is being sponsored by Bical Chevrolet of Valley Stream.

Tip-off from the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex is slated for 4 p.m. With the game nearing a sellout, fans are urged to call the Hofstra Athletics Ticket Office at (516) HOF-TIXX or stop by the ticket office in the lobby of the Mack Sports Complex during normal business hours today (Friday).

All fans in attendance will receive a Hofstra Pride blue t-shirt courtesy of Hofstra President Dr. Susan Poser. In addition, one lucky fan will have the opportunity to win a car from Bical Chevrolet.

The game will air on MSG Network and FloCollege, and WRHU will have an audio-only broadcast available on 88.7 FM. Links to all, as well as the live statistics, can be found on this page and on the men's basketball schedule page on GoHofstra.com.

Hofstra is 12-12 overall and 4-7 in league action following Thursday's defeat against Northeastern. The Pride got a career-high 35 points, including 25 in the second half, from Jean Aranguren in the contest. He also added 10 rebounds for his sixth double-double of the season, while Cruz Davis tallied 18 points for the Pride.

Stony Brook is 5-19 and 1-10 in the CAA. The Seawolves dropped a 66-59 decision to Towson on Thursday. Andre Snoddy had 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Seawolves.

Saturday is the 36th all-time meeting between Hofstra and Stony Brook in men's basketball. The Pride holds a commanding 28-7 lead in the all-time series. Hofstra, which swept the regular season series a year ago, has won four of the last five and nine of the last 11 meetings between the teams.
