Hempstead, NY - Hofstra junior guard
Cruz Davis was named to the Field of 68 Midseason Mid-Major All-America Team, it was announced recently.
It has been an incredible start to the season for Davis as he has led Hofstra to a 9-4 record through the non-conference portion of its schedule, a slate that includes wins over Pitt and Syracuse.
Davis has already earned two CAA Player of the Week Awards this season in addition to a pair of MBWA weekly honors as well. He was also a USBWA Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week on December 19 and named to the Lou Henson Award Watch List.
Davis is averaging 21.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game for the Pride. He leads Hofstra in scoring and assists and ranks first in the CAA in scoring and second in assists.
