Hofstra enters Sunday's contest sporting an 8-4 overall record as they have won three consecutive games and six of their last seven outings. The Pride most recently captured a thrilling 70-69 road win over Syracuse on December 13. It marked Hofstra's second win over an Atlantic Coast Conference opponent in the span of a week following the 80-73 victory over Pitt on December 7. Cruz Davis had 22 points and a career-high nine assists in the win over the Orange, while Prston Edmead added 12 points and Jaeden Roberts chipped in with 11 points. German Plotnikov hit the eventual game-winning three-pointer with under a minute to play and finished with nine points. Victory Onuetu posted six points, 11 rebounds, and four blocked shots.

Quinnipiac has won five straight to improve to 9-3 overall. The Bobcats earned an 85-75 road win over Monmouth in their last game on Wednesday evening. Grant Randall had 17 points and 11 rebounds for Quinnipiac, while Amarri Monroe added 16 points and Asim Jones chipped in with 15 points.

Hofstra and Quinnipiac will be meeting for the fourth time on Sunday with the Bobcats leading the series, 2-1. The teams met last season in Hamden with Quinnipiac earning a 75-69 overtime win. Hofstra captured its lone win in the series in a 72-70 victory on November 27, 2022, in Quebec, Canada. The first-ever meeting was during the 2002-03 campaign.
