Hempstead, NY – Fresh off a satisfying 36-point victory from inside the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex to close out the home non-conference schedule, the Hofstra women's basketball team will cross county lines from Nassau to Queens on Saturday, December 13, to take on St. John's.

The Pride snapped a five-game losing streak with an 80-44 win over Marywood Tuesday night, putting Hofstra's record at 2-6 on the year. Four members of the Pride finished in double figures for scoring, with
Ema Karim leading the way with a career-high 15 point, followed by 11 points from
Emma Von Essen and
Chloe Sterling, and 10 points by
Alarice Gooden. Von Essen paced the Pride with five assists, and
Deivejon Harris was the top rebounder on the night with seven.
The Red Storm sit 9-2 after a 73-42 win against Stony Brook on Wednesday. Brooke Moore is the team's leading scorer at 14.7 points per game and leading rebounder at 5.9 boards per contest entering Saturday.
St. John's leads the all-time series against Hofstra with a record of 16-2, including last season's 62-38 win for the Red Storm from the Mack Sports Complex. The 2024 meeting was the first time the two teams have faced one another since November 17, 2012.
